North Lakes Veterinary Hospital

In 2003, one of our principals, Dr Ian McBride, stood in Mango Hill, looked out across the wallaby paddock that was to become North Lakes, and declared that this would be a great site for a new Veterinary Hospital. The rest of us though he was crazy.

On April Fool’s Day 2007, the North Lakes Veterinary Hospital opened. In the intervening years, Ian convinced the rest of us it was a good idea, then we had to compete for the right to build the practice. Our building and proposal was determined by the owners of the North Lakes development to be superior to all others.

The purpose-built practice building has been equipped and staffed so that it is now one of only a handful of veterinary facilities in Queensland which is able to be called a Veterinary Hospital. This is a designation awarded by the Veterinary Surgeon’s Board of Queensland to practices that can meet specific and exacting thresholds.

Our team at North Lakes is led by the very experienced Dr Tracy Clough who came to us after 20 years as the owner and principal of the Parramatta Veterinary Hospital in Sydney. She leads a capable team of five veterinarians who provide excellent care to the pets of North Lakes and surrounding suburbs.
